[WIN] HSPICE J-2014 + License + Installation guide

   Hi,

@lopola2: Even I had the same problem. You first uninstall all the HSPICE 2014 files from your system and reboot. On rebooting stop or quit all your antivirus or security programs including Windows Defender. After doing this install the files on to your system AND do not restart your system after installation. The final stage will say that some of the inputs are garbled and excluding and so on; just ignore this, and Dont run the LMTOOLS.EXE at this time. Just restart the system.  After restarting run the LMTOOLS stuff and do the rest as in the instruction, and go on to add the environment variable LM_License_file and point it to 27000@<your-pc-name>. It should work. Just try out a sample spice deck sim and see for yourself.


I have made this version of HSpice work on my Windows 10 64-bit PC like this. I had downloaded this a few weeks back but couldn't make this work somehow, but I finally cracked it last thursday :-)

    Hi,i am attaching the license file for the 2013_03 version also. This license will allow you to use CustomWaveView and CustomExplorer along with your HSPICE-J-2014 installation. You only have to add it to your license environment variable!

   Do a search for waveview or related to find the corresponding thread. Once you download and install it, you can use it with the above license file.  Also both HSPICE 2013 and 2014 works fine with Custom WaveView/Explorer. And yes dont forget to add the path to waveview (SX.EXE) in the hspice config file. Enjoy
