Customer Support Engineer (PAS)

Location: Shanghai or Tianjin, China

JobDescription:

- Install equipment at customer's locations,including equipment with new features, unload components, inspect fordamage,   assemble, align and test. Analyze applicability, accuracyand adherence to design specifications. Recommend design changes orsubstitution of materials when appropriate.

- Evaluate and diagnose problems and makeappropriate repairs. Work with co-workers, customer & field support inisolating and solving problems.

- Maintain and optimize equipment on a daily basisto enhance functionality and prevent problems.

- Train customers in use and routine maintenance ofequipment. Answer customer questions and assist customers in a professionalmanner. Act as a resource for users on routine malfunctions. Advise users ofappropriate actions to correct malfunctions and may recommend changes in userprocedures.

- Perform administrative and coordination duties,including pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problemreports, and monthly reports. Prepare written technical reports on anindependent basis. Provide if appropriate support and assistance to lessexperienced ASML or local personnel as necessary.

- Should expect to spend more than 50% of the timeinside the clean room working with mechanical and electrical equipment.

- Can work flexibly, can accept overtime working(maximum is 108 hours each quarter)

- Have initiative to communicate with colleaguesand learn from them

- Can accept manager/leader’s arrangement based oncompany business needs

EducationalLevel:

- Position requires a BS degree in an engineeringfield or equivalent experience, mechanical aptitude, and knowledge ofpneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, semiconductor processes, relevantsoftware, and related.

- Knowledge of safety procedures required.

- Sufficient oral and written English level
