I think there is the problem with patching. I install IC 6.16.100 ISR11 on Scientific Linux 6.6:
1. I don't patch >>> the program can't start-up  because "111" license feature can't check-out.
2. I patch >>> the program start-up  and "111" license feature is check-out and then it's crashed.
So it's possibility that Cadence has used new technic to detect the fake license/ patching

I also see the same on OpenSuse 13.2.
Without the patch virtuoso doesn't patch and after patching it crashes.

It only happens on IC6.1.6.100+. MMSIM14.1 is working fine with the patch.

There are rumors in other forums of Cadence using vilabs protection (spy) software. I don't know if it's true but I'm concerned.
