Job Function:

Weare looking for people with a good grounding in mobile systems architecture ora closely related area as well as a willingness to gain knowledge in what makesa successful chipset/platform for the smartphones and tablet segments.

Applicants should expect to becomeresponsible for the high-level hardware system design meeting productrequirements.

You will work in a team with highly skilledengineers that together carry out the entire Qualcomm Reference Designplatform.

The job ensures, through a combination oftechnical expertise, system studies, market understanding and modeling, thatQualcomm Reference Design maintains a cost effective, power optimized,easy-designed, commercial product portfolio.

The job involves analysis and break down ofproduct requirements, developing architecture specifications, partitioning intomodules, definition of interfaces (software-hardware interface), as well ashardware system investigations.

The job as the HW technical lead works in closecollaboration with marketing, program manager, development&test team,sourcing team as well as chipset design teams to develop/design HW solution,define the key components, customize module/component, optimize BOM,validate/qualify the circuits/components.

The job also includes close interactionwith customers and customer engineering for customer programs design-in,introducing customers needs and the gap analysis between Qualcomm solution andcompetitors.

Responsibilities:

Abroad general technical knowledge within areas relevant to mobile communicationplatforms, with a special focus on hardware baseband perspective such as powermanagement and distribution, power consumption optimization, high-speed design,EMI/EMC/ESD, audio, etc. Knowledge of PI simulation will be a plus.

Experience and understanding of embeddedsystems with respect to SoC implementation and/or application/driver SWdevelopment

Familiar to high-level mobile system designincluding product requirement management, system architecture design, systemcost analysis and optimization, system performance simulation and evaluation,system validation, standard compliance, etc.

Familiar to the mobile industry andecosystem such as the operators, ODM/OEM/IDH, platform/chipset vendors, certificationbodies, supply chain, wireless communication standard groups, etc.

Good English communication skills (writtenand verbal)

Quality documentation & statusreporting;

The ability to manage workload to deliverresults on time;

Minimal 2~5 yrs experience on mobileterminal/device IC/Architecture/HW/SW design with mass production experience.
