Job Description - UEFI (BIOS) Development Engineers areworking with a group of board engineers to design and sustain Ericsson'sproducts. Its function spans across hardware diagnoses, functional validation,and system performance / stress test. - The successful candidate will work withthe team in a wide variety of tasks ranging from requirements analysis, designing,developing latest features for new UEFI release and fixing the defect in oldrelease. This position will give you a significant opportunity to develop anddemonstrate your technical skills.
Qualifications The following qualifications and experienceare mandatory: - Bachelors Degree or higher in ElectricalEngineering or equivalent related degree with 3+ years of working experience oncommercial product development. - Experience in UEFI or Legacy BIOS development * Strong in legacy BIOS, EFI/UEFI, Firmwaredevelopment * Experience with EDK(EFI development Kit) * Proficient Assembly and C languageadvanced programming skills * Deep understanding on IA-32, IA-64Architecture * Deep understanding on task management,interrupt handling, memory management * Capability of reading hardware designspecifications and component datasheets - Team working and communication skills areessential. * Fluent oral communications in bothChinese and English * Solid English written skills on designdocumentation and report * Good team player and cooperation ability Knowledge and experience in the followingareas would be an asset: - Understanding of Telecommunicationsprotocol, TCP/IP protocol, IEEE 802.3protocol - Knowledge of PowerPC/ARM processingtechnologies (including MPCxxxx processor, DDR memory, FLASH), Local/PCI buscontroller, Ethernet MAC/PHY and other mainstream Bus Architectures/Protocolssuch as DMA, UTOPIA, I2C, SPI, etc. - Experience in supporting Board, FPGA& SW engineers on design integration. - Experience dealing with manufacturerproduct introduction teams and facilities.
