Position Summary:

The Engineer in the Research andDevelopment
/
Engineering Department supports technology researchactivities and is responsible for product development and product supportthroughout the entire product life cycle.
The Engineer position requires a person skilled in leading/ supportingthe development and sustaining support of embedded and PC software foranalytical instrumentation.
Extensiveroot cause analysis and problem solving skills are required to investigateinstrument issues and to drive to the resolution of problems.

Key Responsibilities:

-
Design firmware for analytical instrumentembedded system covering from applications development and/or OS porting;software architecture.

-
Must have strong design and projectmanagement skills and will be able to work with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, chemists, scientists, marketing, projectleaders) to help CTC delivery product on time, high quality withinbudget

-
Responsible for the design / implementation/ maintain product embedded software

-
FW architecture design and maintain; do contribution to module reusing and platformsharing

-
Follow on relevant design process / standard

-
Lead or support multiple concurrentprojects across diverse product lines. Towards this, develop design plans andproject schedules and ensure deliverable goals are achieved

Setup firmware design environment, need communicatewith regional marketing team and global R&D team to understand customerneeds and create solution

Work with technical services, manufacturing to provide support

Maintain a safe working environment,following established procedures.

Other tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

-
BE/ B. or above Tech inCS/Electronics/Electrical

-
At least 3+ years of experience in the field of Embedded firmwaredevelopment with microprocessor based embedded Real time systems ORC/C++ software architecture

-
Embedded RTOS
(Linux/Nucleus/QNX/VxWorks/ThreadX) projectexperience is a must

-
Experience with communication programmingon RS232/RS485/Ethernet/SPI/I2C/USB

-
Extensive C/C++ Programming Knowledge

-
Experience in Unit/Integration/system testbased on complex hardware.

Excellent language skill on Englishreading, speaking and writing

-
Strong responsibility, self-motivated andinitiative

-
Proven skill inproblems addressing and resolving

-
Position will require initial travel to theU.S.for a period of 1-2 months for training.
