Driver Deadtime Control and its Impact on System Stability of
Synchronous Buck Voltage Regulator

Abstract: Driver dead-time control is a popular scheme in a synchronous Buck voltage regulator to prevent the shoot-through issue. In addition to its impact on efficiency, dead-time control also impacts loop gain and system stability, especially under the critical load condition. In this paper, the influence of driver dead time on the synchronous buck converter is investigated, and some practical issues are analyzed and verified by experimental results.

本人正在整理中,因为资料实在太多了,足有一张DVD光盘的容量,所以比较费时。请版主和网友理解和耐心等待!

V. CONCLUSIONS
During synchronous Buck converter design, the impact
of the driver deadtime on the system stability should be taken
into consideration. For most applications, the driver deadtime
has little impact on the system stability. But it may increase
the output current or voltage ripple under the critical load
condition for some applications. It is necessary to verify the
operation and system stability considerations of the system
loop under different load conditions, especially the critical
load condition.
