The problem with the FPGA technology is that is constantly evolving .And if you want to look for work as a designer .You have to know the latest tools .That means to have access to the latest plataforms of development .The current ones from Xilinx are Kintet 7 and Virtex 7 .They are very expensive . So is better to learn well how to simulate correctly the designs and learn all the aspects of IMPLEMENTATION and Timming Closure.
It is well know in the field that .You can code your design in a month and spent 3 more months in the IMPLEMENTATION

Soc也只是FPGA的嵌入式方面的应用，不能说这块做好了就是高手！
FPGA的灵魂是逻辑设计，即里面的逻辑资源和时序分析，这方面能力提高了才是真正的高手！

ARM版、DSP版、FPGA板我都调通过，有些板还自己设计过原理图和PCB，但不见得我自己是FPGA方面的高手，仅仅说明自己动手能力比较强而已。
