Job Description
* Work with customer closely for new Smart Metering system development using xx's mixed signal MCU and provide necessary technical support to both internal development and external customer requirement
* Identify customer opportunities together with field sales and technically support to Design-/Business-Win in meter industrials.
* Provide technical guidance to customers and after sales technical support. Respond to complex technical questions and address and solve technical issues and problems during the
design phase.
* Continuously build-up and maintain relationships to customer development engineers
* Develop reference designs with existing ICs for Smart Metering applications
* Propose, Organize and execute technical presentations, product promotions and trainings to customers and distributors.
* Work closely with customers/marketing to define new solutions/features with existing products to meet the growing market in Smart Grid
* Design and architect advanced Smart Meter systems / concepts.
* Generate new innovations with possible IP application and produce technical papers for publications.
Qualifications
* BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 8+ years experience of embedded MCU system design with emphasis on Smart Meter design, PCB layout, prototyping, troubleshooting and verification.
* Strong experience in embedded firmware development - Experience with ARM Cortex architectures is a plus
* Experience of firmware development in metering area is an advantage
* Experience of technical/application/design support, and good understanding of analogy, digital and power circuit design and laboratory measurement skills needed.
* A good understanding of Smart Meter market, is a must; with additional familiarity to Smart Grid market, being a plus.
* Detail oriented, excellent collaboration and project managerial skills are a plus, as individual regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers/employees.
* Proven strong technical and contact making skills
* Used to work in globally distributed teams
* Willing to travel within China and overseas, may require travelling in short notice.
