Position：Senior Applications Engineer

Custom Profile:

This company is the leading supplier of high-voltage analog integrated circuits for energy-efficient power conversion. The company’s innovative technology enables compact, energy-efficient power supplies in a wide range of electronic applications.

Job Responsibilities:

1.
Responsible for switching power system development and application engineering, focus on high power (>90W)
applications

2.
Research and define switch mode power supply topologies based on the specificities of the company’s products

3.
Do reference design by using the company’s products, and provide design ideas, prototype, bill of materials, and test/evaluation reports to meet internal and external customers’ requirement

4.
Evaluate switching power supplies built with the company’s products or competitors

5.
Provide switching power supply design support and technical advice to the assigned customers and distributors

6.
Research and write technical application material for publication and presentation at technical conferences, industry seminars, trade magazines.

Job Requirements:

1.
Power converters/conversion/management

2.
Switching/switch mode power supply units, inverters, power electronics design equipment, analog electronics design, control loop design and power magnetic design (transformer, chokes or inductors)

3.
Knowledge of printed circuit board design

4.
EMI, EMC and safety regulatory compliance

5.
Power conversion topologies(buck, boost, LLC, flyback or forward converters)

6.
Simulation such as MathCAD, PSpice, Simplice, Saber

7.
Understanding production environment (assembly, test, failure analysis, ect).

8.
Excellent written and moderate oral communication in English with experience in technical report writing and test plans/instructions.

9.
Team player.
