Job Description:
- Be a core member of Tellabs broadband product software development team in Shanghai R&D center.
- Be responsible for system requirement analyzing, system level software architecture designing, leading on software design review, implementation inspection, and at the same time, be responsible for detailed software design, implementation, documentation, debugging and feature integration.
- Be responsible for communicating with testing team to solve different issues identified in SIT/SVT phase.

Reliability Engineer (Global Operation)
Job Description
- Analyzes and interprets engineering designs and Bills of Materials and using RELEX reliability prediction software, calculate MTBF, and develops reliability models.
- Recommends changes to the design, operational configuration, or other factors for improving or attaining the required levels of operational reliability and availability.
- Develops and improves the reliability engineering program to achieve operational reliability objectives.
- Analyzes projected product utilization and calculates cumulative effect on final system reliability of individual part reliabilities.
- Performs failure mode and effect analysis, formulates mathematical models, using computer-aided engineering equipment, to identify units posing excessive failure risks and proposes changes in design.
- Performs simulations using electrical inputs, transient conditions, temperature, stress, and other factors to recommend design or test changes for improved system reliability.
- Observes product tests at supplier, plants, or field locations for possible reliability improvements factors, by reducing the causes of unit failures.
- Monitors customer’s failure and product repair data for improved reliability solutions. Works with component engineers and suppliers to gather and maintain component reliability reports.

Qualifications-Minimum Required
- 3 years of experience in Reliability Engineering position. ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) preferred
- Capable of working closely with R&D and Marketing to establish reliability models
- Capable of developing and presenting reliability models to customers, explaining calculations, statistical probabilities of failure modes as they apply to differing levels of redundancy.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with Reliability modeling and the development of Reliability Block Diagrams. Conduct a variety of Reliability analyses including predictions/assessments, trade studies, and Failure Mode Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA). Produce discrete Reliability models and predictions using tools such as RELEX, PRISM, EXCEL, and ACCESS.
- Must be able to plan and manage the Failure Reporting, Analysis & Corrective Action System (FRACAS). Candidate must have a thorough understanding of mathematical probabilities, statistical analyses, component applications, derating models, FIT rates, physics of failure, and reliability physics. Must be able to statistically analyze test data.
