Job Description

We are seeking a software engineer who will be part of a dynamic and international development team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for design, development, unit test, maintenance and final documentation of specific components within the Irdeto head end system.
Required Skills
A solid development experience of C++ and C# (minimum 2 years of experience)
Experience with Windows and Client/Server development. Linux experience is a plus.
Experience with OO design to understand its advantages (UML is preferred)
Technical and analytical skills
General understanding of relational databases: configuration, relational database model design, stored procedures, and query optimization. SQL development on Microsoft SQL Server experience is preferred
Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (XML, SOAP)
Web development knowledge (ASP.NET) prefered. Experience in building web applications and/or converting rich client applications into web based clients would be an advantage
Required Experience
Willing to troubleshoot, refactor and continuously improve the code quality
Pro-active, quality-minded with a positive attitude
Good communication skills
Good verbal and written English
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,  or equivalent
Promotes co-operation, participation and sharing of ideas/ knowledge across the development team
Good knowledge of best practices for unit testing, quality assurance, code management
Experience with software security, encryption and key management would be an advantage.
Experience in working with scrum or other agile methodologies
Experience in software testing and test methodologies, testing background is an advantage
Ability and willingness to prepare, execute and document testing tasks

We require an Embedded Software Engineer for the development of Irdeto secure components (smart cards, encryptor, scrambler, personalization, secure software components).
Design, develop, and test Irdeto Access smart card source code and other secure components.
Generation of specifications and documentation.
Improvements in development process, development tools and working methods.
Participate in reviews and discussions on requirements, architecture, design and source code.
Estimate and plan development tasks.
Required Skills
Manage own time to meet agreed targets.
Working closely with other software developers and test engineers.
Depending on the project interface, work with project managers, architects, and other engineering teams.
Knowledge of Conditional Access systems.
Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
Degree in electronic/software engineering or an equivalent qualification.
2-4 years experience in technical software development in the embedded, PC (DOS and Windows) and Linux environments.
A thorough knowledge of C and a basic knowledge of visual C++ languages.
A thorough knowledge of Java.
Ability to write specifications in a precise and unambiguous manner (in English).
Organized and ordered approach.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Ability to both work in a small team and independent.
Familiar with project managed environments.
MPEG2/DVB.
XML (SAX, DOM).
Knowledge of UML or formal design methodology an advantage.
Knowledge of the application of cryptographic systems
Embedded micro controllers.
Smart card applications.
CVS, version control and management of code.

Required Experience
2-4 years experience in technical software development in the embedded, PC (DOS and Windows) and Linux environments.
