Brief Description:
Member of the Optical and Metro Engineering team in Our Beijing office. Lead FW DVT Engineer is responsible for leading all Firmware Design Verification Tests (FW-DVT) activities to develop test plan and auto-test SW, and execute FW DVT test, and continuously improve FW DVT test strategy, process and infrastructure to grow our competence in FW design validation test.

Job Responsibilities:
1;    Participation in complete firmware development life cycle, understand firmware features & operations to exploit test cases that cause firmware failures.
2;    Develop FW DVT test strategy, test approaches and instrumentation of FW function test, stress test and regression test
3;    Develop and continuously improve test process to enrich test coverage while reducing test execution time.
4;    Identify and propose FW feature requirements of FW Design for Test and Manufacturing.
5;    Create and execute test plans and procedures for design verification of firmware functionalities and/or optical performance.
6;    Lead FW DVT team and/to develop, write and execute test cases to verify FW functionalities.
7;    Develop and maintain FW DVT test stations and auto-test SW in an R&D environment using VB.Net.
8;    Identify regression test scope and lead the team to execute regression test of FW point release.
9;    Conduct detail trouble-shooting and FW debugging of test failures to determine the root causes and recommend a fixing.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate must have strong skills and knowledge in software or firmware test and product verification for optical transport or optical network equipment.  He or she must also be an experienced and effective team lead and technical lead.
1;    Familiar with embedded system firmware development cycles, firmware quality assurance processes and regression test development
2;    Excellent experience in software or firmware DVT.
3;    Excellent experience in test software development using VB.Net for test equipments control and data acquisition.
4;    Programming experience with test equipments such as Oscilloscope, OSA, VOA, Optical Power Meter, Tunable laser source is required.
5;    Experience in DSP/MCU C programming and debugging.
6;    Good knowledge of digital hardware, DSP/MCU, ADC/DAC, RS232, GPIB, and good knowledge of optoelectronic devices and optical networking products is desired.
7;    Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
8;    Strong leadership, at least 2 years experience supervising engineers
9;    Good writing and communication skills are required in English.
10;    M.S. (5 yrs+) or PhD (3 yrs+) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Physics preferred.
