Position opening:

Senior System and Validation Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work at system level of USB, Ethernet, SD/MMC interface
• Study industry standard document and IP specification
  • Understand the theory of operation of those interfaces
  • Be familiar with those interface protocol
  • Be familiar with registers inside those IP
  • Be familiar with the electrical specification of those interface
• FPGA verification and Silicon validation
  • Able to create checklist based on the understanding of those IPs
  • Run test case based on created checklist
  • Support IC/SW team for debug
  • Create validation report
• Create product datasheet
  • Create registers description
  • Create the theory of operation
• Customer support
  • Solve issues from FAE or customers
  • Answer questions from FAE or customers.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. In Electrical engineering or equivalent is required
• At least 3 years  experience in PC,  Consumer  or communication electronics product development
• Able to communication in English.

Optional requirement

• Develop or application experience with USB, Ethernet or SD/MMC interface.
• Previous Hands on high speed board design experience for an asic company
• Previous Hands on DDR2, DDR3, Denali controller, USB2, HDMI, Ethernet for high speed application
• Knowledge of Analog and digital designs
• Knowledge of video standards and television standards an asset
• Knowledge of product compliance and safety requirements
• Program management experience

Senior Software Engineer

Job description:
We are looking for an experienced senior software engineer to develop tools, video and web application project on windows environment. This candidate will be responsible for analyzing system requirements and developing efficient software application system that utilize Pixelworks' prominent video process technology.
This candidate should have strong ability for Windows driver development, web programming and video playing.

Staff Software Engineer

Job description:
We are seeking for a staff Software Engineer with good experience in video processing software development on embedded system. In this position, you will be involved in the core technology design and development for SOC (System-on-Chip) Product. You will be responsible for designing and developing video/audio/Network/USB drivers on SOC, and developing applications.





Requirements:
1.
Good understanding of Linux programming and architecture
2.
Strong C and/or C++ and ASM* design, coding and debugging expertise
3.
Be proficient in Linux driver development
4.
Be proficient in embedded video and image process
5.
Be proficient in embedded network function development
6.
English read and write ability

(Senior) FPGA Engineer

Responsibilities:
1.FPGA design and verification. Porting ASIC code to FPGA platform, verify the whole design in FPGA system.
2.Lead the whole FPGA verification flow, include specification, coding, simulation, physical implementation and board level debugging.
3.Organize and Coordinate the work of debug team.
4.Capability of making rapidly scheme/method to trace issue.
5.RTL module development to assist the verification on FPGA

Requirement：
1.MS in Electronic or Computer Science Engineering is required. Expert in FPGA operation theory.
2.More than 3 years experience in design and verify on FPGA.
3.Project experience in mapping large scale, multi-million gate ASIC to multiple FPGAs
4.Architecture and design flow Expert in verilog or Vhdl. Familiar with FPGA EDA tools, such as Synplify, ISE, QuartusII Expert in Xilinx product.
5.Strong coding skills in Verilog/VHDL RTL.
6.Strong system bring up skills.
7.Experience in Chip and system test.
8.Analyze the FPGA requirement, evaluate the resource and select the chip type in the design phase.
9.Familiar with SOC architecture and OCP/AHB/APB.
10.Familiar with video system is preferable
11.The candidate is required to use the logic analyzer and oscillator to debug in FPGA Design.
12.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
13. Familiar with FPGA co-simulation is preferable

(Senior) IC Engineer

Responsibilities:

Independently handle key IC design tasks:

Block level Micro-architecture, RTL Design,
Verification, Synthesis and timing closure.

Top level integration, including clock/reset implementation, synthesis and timing closure.

FPGA validation and Silicon bring-up.

Requirements:
Must have:
- BSEE Degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in hands-on IC design

- Good communication skills and fluent in English.

dsp Architecture Engineer

Job Description:
1.
Response for design architecture of video/image processing chip and/or video/image processing IP based on understanding of video processing algorithm and background knowledge of IC design and verification. Architecture engineers not only design architecture, but also need cooperate with algorithm designers, IC designers and verification engineers.
2.
Architecture design work includes mapping algorithm solution into hardware solution from following aspects:
a)
Function partition of algorithm solution;
b)
Design Interface and interface’s protocol design between IP block or sub-block;
c)
Control mechanism define, calculation logic evaluation, storage size and bandwidth evaluation based on cost, throughput,
3.
Architecture designer is response for consider design’s cost which include die size, power consumption, rtl design and verification effort.
4.
Architecture designer is response for give valuable feedback to algorithm designers to optimize their algorithm from cost/performance’s view;
5.
Architecture designer is response for support and accelerate IC implementation and verification by proper architecture partition and modeling;

Requirements

2 - 3 (4 - 5 for senior) years experience in IC industry

DSP Senior Video Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
1.
Design and improve image and video processing algorithms; focusing on application oriented algorithm design and tuning
2.
Evaluate, analyze, and improve picture quality of video algorithms; work closely with DSP Algorithm team to improve video processing algorithms
3.
Identify and develop new video systems, propose new solutions to meet customer requirements; work closely with DSP Architecture team, and hardware team for architecture and system development
4.
Picture quality tuning and software-based video algorithm development for Tier 1 customers; work closely with world wide field offices and Tier 1 customers for picture quality improvements
5.
Technical marketing and leading technology R&D; work closely with marketing and sales department on next generation products
6.
Typically travel required is around 10%

Minimum Requirements
1.
Ph. D in EE/CS specializing in digital signal processing, image processing, video processing, statistical signal processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, or computer graphics.
2.
3+ years’ experience in algorithm development using MATLAB in image/video processing or coding
3.
Fundamentals of C and C++ software development; Use of software development tools for embedded system, or PC applications
4.
In-depth knowledge of signal processing, image and video processing, statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and numerical techniques
5.
Comfortable working hands-on in a lab environment with electronics test equipment and procedures
6.
Must have strong communication skills, presentation skills, good organization and skilled in writing high quality engineering documentation

Additional Preferred Skills
7.
Experience with IC design flow and methodologies; experiences with algorithm design targeted for IC and FPGA
8.
Understanding of software engineering methodology and experiences with object oriented analysis and design
9.
Previously worked on video processing algorithms such as deinterlacer, scaler, noise reduction, contrast enhancement, motion estimation, video encoding/decoding and color enhancement is a big plus
