How to install Synopsys Design Compiler 2008.09 (linux)

Hey all,I have installed it and also made the license file and verified it using sssverify.exe. Made the license file (synopsys.dat) using WINE. Used the synopsys.lpd file in the packs folder. The license manager server started successfully (or without any errors), but when I try to start design_vision I get:

Unable to obtain feature 'Design-Vision ' because:
Error: Cannot open key file '/usr/synopsys/B-2008.09/admin/license/key' or a licensing environment parameter has not been set correctly. (SEC-2)
Unable to obtain feature 'Design-Analyzer ' because:
Error: Cannot open key file '/usr/synopsys/B-2008.09/admin/license/key' or a licensing environment parameter has not been set correctly. (SEC-2)
Fatal: At least one of the following must be enabled : Design-Vision, Design-Analyzer. (DCSH-10)

When I try to start dc_shell, I get:

/usr/synopsys/10.9.3/linux/bin$ /usr/synopsys/B-2008.09/bin/dc_shell
Fatal: Design Compiler is not enabled. (DCSH-1)

Those who got it to run on linux, please assist.
Using Ubuntu.

you created under WINE? maybe dos2unix the license file in case there are ^M at the end of each line. is the daemon running? try lmstat -c /path/to/license.dat -S snpslmd and see what it returns

Yes, I had to make the file (synopsys.dat) using WINE because files used to generate the synopsys.dat file were .exe files.

I ran dos2unix on sysnopsys.dat and tried to run the program again. I still get the same error messages.

Here is the output of that command:
/usr/synopsys/10.9.3/linux/bin/lmstat -c /usr/synopsys/10.9.3/admin/license/synopsys.dat -S /usr/synopsys/10.9.3/linux/bin/snpslmd

Also, two file were generated when I used the crack. Sysnopsys.dat and license.dat, but I'm only using sysnopsys.dat.
