Job Title Field Applications Engineer Job Description The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is an integral part of the China Sales force, responsible for China customer success and sales quota.
The FAE works closely with one or more Regional Sales Managers by providing technical pre-sales support to develop and win new licensing at his/her assigned product line. Acting as a technical account manager, the FAE is also responsible for performing the post-sales support to his/her customers as directed by FAE Manager.
It is important that the FAE develops sound professional relationships with the key engineers, architects, and decision-makers at his customers both internally and externally. It is also important that the FAE can create, report, and execute on key account strategies aimed at growing the business within these customers.
Mainly focus on our CPU/System IP, support Sales manager and Product Division to present product, demo, benchmark and detail evaluation. Remove the barrier of license deal, then support customer design-in success.
Critical Success Factors - Full understanding of customer business and technical development plans.
- Sound personal relationships with key technical decision-makers at customers and a good understanding of commercial relationships.
- High level knowledge of Semiconductor and software development process.
- High level knowledge of supply chain
Development of strong relationships with assigned Sales Managers, as well as Marketing and Engineering teams. Job Requirements Technical Skills - Five years Plus experience in SoC design and/or Architecture development.
- Extensive knowledge of our CPU architecture and/or multi-processor system
- Familiar with SOC architecture and AMBA specification.
- Complete ASIC front end design flow from micro architecture define to SPEF out.
- Experience with complex SoC architecture exploration and optimization
- Proficient with ASIC and FPGA implementation, validation flows, DFT methodologies, and silicon bring-up and debug
- BS Plus Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with design planning and/or back-end implementation
would also be an advantage.
