The Sales Manager is responsible for the OEM accounts of Infineon & sales team development in Shanghai/Beijing: Long-term strategic partnership with the key account focusing on the target segment of the product line
- Designs, manages and controls all world-wide sales activities for a designated account to maximize the business for allxx products.
- Leads the business development programs agreed with the agreed with the product line Sales & Marketing.
Major Tasks and Activities:
- Strategy: Lead the development of the sales strategy. Definition and monitoring of regional sales goals. Definition, implementation and monitoring of an appropriate sales strategy to achieve the targeted goals and maximize xx's business. Feedback to Infineon HQ on demands and requirements from markets and customers. Represents the account at the HQ for all issues related to the product lines.
- Sales: Develop and manage relationships with key executives of the key customer. Assess opportunities and manage the projects with high sales growth potential. Assign the organization demand creation resources / competencies to maximize design wins, securing the involvement / support of the relevant HQ departments. Appoint a project leader to all qualified projects. Define and ensure the fulfillment of all corrective actions. Set priorities in agreement with management.
- Management: Head the sales team in Shanghai & Beijing. Co-ordinate input for revenue forecasting and budgeting (SPT) for the designated account. Prepare the sales budget by product (and region), define design win / demand creation objectives and agree with management, HQ. Co-ordinate the budget preparation across all regions and agree with management / HQ. Monitor sales and demand creation activities through internal and customer’s reviews.
If necessary define and agree corrective measures across relevant business units.
- People management: take full management responsibilities for team of qualified employees (includes people, budget, planning, performance management, salary review, etc.)
Job Requirements:
- University degree of similar
- 10+ years of professional experience in sales and management
- Expert knowledge in technical / specialist area (strategic account)
- Good knowledge of own functions to achieve business objectives, by interfacing different internal groups, incl. Sales, Product team, Logistics, Marketing, HQ, etc.
- Sound knowledge of external environment (clients, competitors, industry)
- Professional communication skill with clients
- Excellent problem solving, presentation, communication and business analysis skills
- International business practices or multinational company working experience
- Proven leadership
- Fluent English is a must
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to travel frequently within China and overseas
1) Additional Requirements:
a. Well-versed in semiconductors industry (MNC exposure preferred) focusing on industrial, multi-market (Computing, Communications, Consumer) and esp. in lighting  segments
b. Solid team leading experience
c. Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; MBA qualification a plus
d. Independent and focused
e. Ability to establish and maintain solid contacts with key accounts at all levels to foster excellent working relationships and promote business opportunities
f. Lead and drive account team and internal associates to achieve business objectives; competency in managing complexities on cross-functional/business line/division topics
g. High level of initiative in problem solving
h. Strong communication and business negotiation skills; assertiveness
i. Proven track records
j. Ability to quickly establish strong credibility with key stake holders from various internal function groups and external decision makers
k. Result-oriented and willing to stretch to accomplish goals and “make it happen”
l. Hands-on when required and ability to deep dive into business and technical issues and develop resolutions with internal resources
m. Ability to develop, manage and lead a successful key account team
n. Ability to collect multiple points of view from internal stake holders and then act decisively
o. Strong intellect, possess outstanding interpersonal skills (including excellent oral and written communication in English & Mandarin) and problem solving skills to facilitate effective communication and conclude solutions with colleagues and/or customer.
