NO.95-Application Engineer – SW Customisation（Shanghai）

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Application Engineer – SW Customisation is in charge to give embedded FW design support to designated customer, specialising in application layer of the ***** modem solution. The support includes also the **** FW development tool chain.
This work requires hands-on design verification and testing to confirm design performance and involves travel to customer sites to facilitate this process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
To support customer in his development and implementation of firmware customizations
Supply support on *****’s SW development tool chain
To feedback issues and work closely with core engineering teams to solve customer system issues
To provide the technical content for RFI/RFQs
Development and provision of technical training
Development of technical support materials including customer specific documentation
To diagnose problems with customer’s designs (use SW debugger, core dumps and other test equipment) and troubleshoot customer issues. (Workout SW patches in cooperation with development team).
To liaise with the customer through email, conference calls and visits
Taking an active role in assessing the technical details of new customer projects
Developing direct customer relationships to provide recommendations and feedback on new features and requirements

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
To fill this position, a degree in a relevant subject (Electronic Engineering, computer science or equivalent) is necessary. Experience in mobile phone FW development is a must have. Experience in mobile communications air interfaces, design consulting or technical customer support role is an advantage. Experience in AT-Commands would be a plus. In addition to a solid technical background excellent written and verbal communications skills in the English and Mandarin language are mandatory.

Highly proactive, professional communicator.
SW development skills
C language skills
Knowledge on SW debug tools
Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills.
Good documentation skills.
Willing to travel (~25% travel required).
