This position is for a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE), who will be responsible for addressing customer issues effectively and in a timely manner. Main work location is Shanghai, but the scope of this position covers the entire Asia region. This position requires occasional travel to contract manufactures or end customers to address urgent issues and lines down situations. This position requires experience in quality, reliability, and manufacturing of semiconductor products and circuit board assembly and test. The candidate must work with the customers, xx engineering teams, and suppliers to resolve customer issues. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to conduct meetings to address customer issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support customers through timely resolution of product quality, reliability, and manufacturing issues using xx’s Customer Service Request (CSR) process
Visit customers manufacturing lines to address urgent issues or lines down situations
Work with customers, xx engineering teams, and suppliers to resolve customer issues
Work with Failure Analysis labs to determine the root cause of failed device
Work with Supplier Quality Engineering to address customer issues caused by supplier manufacturing processes
Conduct effective meetings with xx engineering teams or Suppliers to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
Drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions with the company’s cycle time goals
Provide customer communications throughout the entire analysis process. Provide the customers with 8D reports to correct the reported problems
Issue and distribute Customer Quality Notifications (CQN) or Product Change Notifications (PCN) internally within Conexant and externally to the customers
Qualifications:
BSEE with coursework related to semiconductor processing.
At least 10 years of Customer Quality Experience (CQE) in the field of semiconductors and circuit board assembly and test
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing effectively
Demonstrated ability to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, from submission through validation and implementation of corrective action.
