Custom VLSI technology development
II. Objectives
The importance of ISDN establishment has been emphasized to prepare for the
imformation era in 2000 years. To realize high speed, cost reduction and reliability
improvement of ISDN system. Custom VLSI technology is indispensible.
And, also it is necessary to develop high speed and high density technology of VLSI
design, device and process.
During 1987, the second year of Custom VLSI technology development which started in
1986, we finished the development and technology transfer of four kinds of custom LSI
for TDX-1 system and designed four kinds of custom LSI for TDX-10 system.
And we executed the development of 60 kinds of cell libraries for design automation and
studied mixed mode-high speed and high density-devices. we also developed high speed
bipolar device with 80ps delay time and designed semiconductor process information
system(13function modules).
