1. Implement APR from netlist to gds to close timing and routing

2. Build high efficient PG mesh to meet IR-drop and EM requirements

3. Fix SI effect

4. Perform ECO and metal spin

5. Support die size estimation

6. Develop utilities/scripts to improve design flow

QUALIFICATION (DETAIL):

Education:

BSEE or MSEE

Experience:

1. Knowledge of any part of the process from netlist handoff to tapeout is a MUST:

Floorplanning

Power planning and signoff

Placement, CTS and routing

SI effect analysis and fixing

Physical verification

2. Hands-on experience on above items is preferred.

3. Scripts development in Perl and TCL

Description of the Role / Responsibilities:

Participate in the design and implementation of the leading edge asic chip.

l
Your focus is on design flow

Ensure the design methodology correct and improve automation and productivity. The main flow steps include:

FE: Synthesis, Simulation, STA, Design Check and memory compiler etc.

BE: Place and Routing, Physical verification, Signal integrity, Power analysis etc.

l
Another important part of the job is doing support to FE /BE team.

When they have a real design issue and can’t solved by themselves, you may be asked to jump in for debug and find a solution. Usually you will work with EDA vendors on such case.

l
Responsibilities besides support project work also include interfacing with other implementation experts across different development locations, and driving the continuous improvement of advanced implementation methods to Trident digital TV and Set-Top-Box projects teams.  

Experience and Skills Required:

Essential

l
Major in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

l
Master with 3+ work experience (or Bachelor 5+ years)

l
Strong programming skill with one or more following items( Perl,Tcl, C/C++ etc).

l
Experience with industry standard development EDA tools and flow.

FE engineer: DC, RTL Compiler, PT, Conformal LEC, NC. VCS

BE engineer: SOC encounter, Apache Redhawk etc.

l
Have a proven track record of successful delivery of projects

l
Good written and fluent oral English.

l
Good communication skills and team work.

Desirable

l
Real ASIC project experience as a FE or BE designer is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Providing technical support to customers of Apache Design Solutions in China region which include:

      - Providing Silicon Integrity consultation and implementing tape-out signoff for customers' projects.

      - Providing technical support and presentation in the pre-sale engagement

      - Providing post-sale flow setup and customer training

Driving project-based flow support initiative including customer communications, requirements definition and schedule planning as well as project management and execution.  

Interacting cross-functionally with worldwide Apache teams including sales, R&D and production


Qualifications:

Knowledge in VLSI designs and electronic circuits

Experience in using EDA tools in some of the following areas is a plus:

     - LEF, DEF, GDSII

     - Liberty, Static Timing Analysis

     - RC Extraction, SPEF/dspF

     -  Spice



Computer programming skills using Perl or TCL.

Good communication and problem solving skills.

Team oriented with a desire to learn.
Able to work independently at various levels of sophistication

Master Science of Electrical Engineering or above
