for an analog designer friend who is really interested to join the field of medical electronics and have a job in it .. whats ur advice ? how to start and what to learn ?

Some project experiences on heart-electronic device could help you to handle the basic of medical electronics. U could download some documents in forums such as CSDN, PUDN etc.
After that please no hesitate to practise a real project by yourself.

More innovative area for Analog IC guys are CMOS Biosensors. It is a very good field and future will be this. Can start basics from nanohub.org
