Calibre 2014.1 Release Highlights
Physical Verification
- Automatic Waivers has a new DENSITY_WAIVER_RDB setup file controling generation of a density_waiver.rdb results should you wish to not run density for a waiver run.
- 3DSTACK now organizes text-related verification checks by type for much cleaner result reporting.
- Encryption utilities now support dual-encoding in preparation for eventual Tcl/Tk library upgrades.
- DRC – New LAYOUT RENAME operations for CLONE or ALL cell names, as well as new LAYOUT INPUT EXCEPTION SEVERITY options for EXPAND_CELL and AREF_UNPLACED for cases where the cell or cell properties are missing.
- Pattern Matching Pattern Library Manager GUI now allows grouping of similar patterns into clusters and the GUI Generate OASIS function can use the cluster property information to output similar patterns in a histogram-like layout.
Circuit Verification
- Calibre PERC: PERC now supports Electromigration (EM) by extending Current Density functionality. This will allow our customers to use our familiar RVE to view results, sorting data, and add color-maps and histograms of problem areas in their designs.
- Calibre xL: The video contains a short portion on how to run Differential Pairs in Calibre xL. This is a quick starting point for our customers who wish to use Calibre xL.
- xCalibrate: As of 2014.1, MIPT1.0 and TM file formats have been replaced with MIPT2.0
Interface and Integration Technologies
- Calibre DESIGNrev: Multi-segmented rules simplify measuring multiple edges across a large database.
- Calibre Interactive: A new Layout Cell browser feature has been added to the Calibre Integration to Virtuoso. This will greatly simplify setting up Calibre when multiple cells are open.
- Calibre RVE: Now easily generate DRC HTML reports directly from RVE.
