Security IP Field Applications Engineer

Job Description:

Security IP Specialist FAE will provide expert technical supportto field applications and sales teams, to drive pre-sales customer engagementsof Synopsys’Security IP (Intellectual Property) products to successful technical closure.The role requires working with customers, sales, marketing, corporateapplications engineering, and product R&D teams from different locations.IP FAE will be involved in customer meetings to understand customers’ technical requirements forIP, and will be responsible for supporting the engagements via on-site orremote technical interactions and regular meetings, providing demos, supportingevaluations, resolving technical issues, addressing competitive challenges, andregularly communicating status during the engagement. IP FAEs also providefield inputs to product teams on competitive data and new feature requirements,based on customer engagement experiences.

Requirements:

-
BSEE with 6+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE with 5+ yearsof relevant experience

-
Understanding of and experience with semiconductor design and/orIP (ASIC preferred, but FPGA is also acceptable)

-
Understanding of embedded hardware and software design

-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

-
High initiative and self-starter

-
Experience working in a customer-facing or sales-support role

Ability to travel, to visit customers, sales and engineering teams

Strong technical communication (oral and written) skills

Ability tounderstand and present complex technical requirements, issues and solutions, inprecise and accurate manner, in verbal and written communications

Ability toanalyze, summarize and generate status updates from technical data

o
Ability to organize,conduct and co-ordinate meetings involving multiple teams, such as customers,sales, marketing, R&D etc.

Understandingof and experience using ASIC/FPGA design flows (HDL, synthesis, timing, placeand route, simulation, etc.)
