Position Description:

Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains Cadence electronic equipment.Serves as the hardware technical representative providing pro-active on sitesupport at end user customer locations both domestic and international.Identifies, analyzes and repairs hardware, firmware, network and other issues.Schedules part replacements and maintenance with customers as needed. Relies onexperience and judgment to accomplish goals and ensure customer satisfaction.Reports to APAC Sr Field Service Manager.

  

Position Requirements:

•Bachelor’sdegree in a technical or related field

•Previousexperience as Linux/Unix administrator preferred

•PowerfulLinux Shell Skills (use grep, sed, awk, find, etc)

•Serverscripting tools including perl/bash/sh/tcsh/csh or some combination required

•Deeplyfamiliar with networking including installation/configuration of routers,switches and firewalls.

•Proficientwith network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc.

•Stronghardware and software troubleshooting skills

•Excellentwritten and verbal communication; English speaking and writing skills

•Strongdocumentation skills

•Willingnessto travel frequently both domestically and internationally

•Currentpassport is required with no travel limitations

•ValidUS driver’s license is required

•Mustbe able to lift 50 lbs

•Fulltraining will be provided, however any experience in the following areas wouldbe advantageous:

•Debuggingand repair experience in a board/system level environment.

•Fieldservice experience in component/board/system level environment.
