Title: Program Manager – Strategic Academic Partnerships and University Programs – ASIAPAC
Position Description:
Purpose
The Program Manager in ASIAPAC is responsible for the strategy, plans, execution and evaluation of all academic partnerships including university programs. The successful candidate will have experience in senior educational/academic program management and development roles, as well as engineering experience, preferably in hardware design or software applications design. He/she will work closely with the vast ecosystem of Cadence business partners, universities, and students to spread knowledge and adoption of Cadence products and technologies. This person should be a dynamic leader who is passionate about academic partnerships and publicly funded projects inspiring and developing academic relationships for Cadence.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
The Program Manager, will be responsible for the following:
1) Develop and execute long-term, robust partnership strategies targeted at:
•attracting and recruiting top engineering students aligned with the company’s global campus recruiting vision.
•deploying leading edge Cadence technology at academic institutions including further developing innovative business models bridging the gap between academia and start-ups
•leveraging the Cadence brand recognition within academia
•connecting Cadence R&D with academic research competence
2) Partner with the Technology organizations and HR Business partners on strategic initiatives such as forecasting and university recruiting.
3) Partner with internal teams to create dynamic marketing and messaging highlighting Cadence as an employer of choice among engineering students, including social media strategies.
4) Promote Cadence methodology and tools in universities and higher education institutions
6) Monitor market conditions to ensure our academic strategic are competitive.
7) Develop and execute a Marketing Plan for the Cadence University Program, internal stakeholders and University Program partners. The Marketing Plan includes teaching/training material creation, workshop and events organization, and budgeting
8) Help develop and execute operation management frameworks, working with various internal and external stakeholders, to ensure contact database building, leads management, process management and tracking.
Position Requirements:
1) Master degree in Engineering, or Computer Science. Other disciplines will also be considered with relevant experience.
2) Technical experience in EDA or IC Industry would be preferred (including but not limiting to product and customer support, engineering or marketing roles)
3) Over than 3-5 years working experience focus on university recruiting or university program, preferably in high-tech industry. Experience in senior educational/academic program management and development is a plus.
4) Experience and track record in working with Global Team in driving new initiatives and programs.
5) Passionate on academic partnerships and university recruiting program.
6) The ability to collaborate with multiple parties; maximize and consolidate regional and global resources.
7) Proven influencing skills on Leadership presence and credibility to interact with all levels of employees and stakeholders, including senior leaders.
8) Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
9) Team oriented, with the ability to work independently while understanding and performing the Program Manager role in context of a wider team and the international organization. |
