KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•             Lead on analysis and resolution ofAMD Silicon and system issues based on AMD reference or customer platformdesigns.

•             Jointly discuss and define thesilicon validation strategy and coverage plan for AMD silicon product.

•             Debug performed with internallydeveloped software/hardware tools and/or instrument. Work with internal teamsto escalate critical issue resolution in order to reach company milestones. Theengineer role consist of :

Provide analysis and solutions of system issuesfor internal and customer teams;

·
Define the test fixtures, experiments anddiagnostics procedures as needed;

·
Interfacing with design teams in a collaborativeeffort to resolve issues.

REQUIREMENTS

1.
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in EE or CS or equivalent isrequired.

2.
Good English required – verbal and written.

3.
Familiar with X86 architecture (CPU, chipset,I/O devices, etc), Software (BIOS, Drivers, Operating System) and knowledge ofPC architecture.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

1.
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience on driver orBIOS debug and/or design, and closely interact with HW designers (7+ years as abachelor, 5+ years as a master)

2.
Experience of using WinDebug, 3rd party Windowsapplication/tool for system debug. Be capable of using HW instrument(Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers etc.) for issue analysis is a plus.

3.
Strong debugging and testing skills, requires ahigh degree of creativity and problem solving skills.

4.
Hands on hardware driver or firmware developmentexperience in an ASIC company is preferred

5.
Strong communication skills, as well asleadership are expected.

6.
Familiar with Linux is a plus.
