Job Title: Multimedia Drive Engineer

Location: Shanghai

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1.Preferred candidate has 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree , Computer engineering or Computer Science or 3+ years of experience with a MS and or PhD with related course work or research

(Potential NCG is acceptable)

2. strong C/C++ programming experience is required
3.Strong knowledge and past experience on video codecs, such as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264 and HEVC is required
4.Experience and skills on user mode driver debugging and development is required
5.Knowledge and experience on Rate Control, video quality analysis, performance tuning is highly preferred
6.Experience and skills on embedded system , debugging is highly preferred
7.Experience on kernel mode driver debugging and development is highly preferred
8. Knowledge of Multimedia framework such as DXVA, MFT or OpenMax is preferred
9. Experience on Multimedia application development is preferred
10.Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills is required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Work in a global team enabling AMD multimedia technologies on various programs
2.Design, develop, tune and optimize video encoding/decoding solution for AMD GPU and APU in pre-silicon and post-silicon phases
3.Debug and root cause issues in video codecs, triage and communicate with software and hardware teams to find proper solution
