Job description For applications requiring highly specialized processing, application-specific instruction-set processors (ASIPs) deliver greater computational efficiencies than general purpose processors and more flexibility than fixed-function RTL designs. Synopsys' ASIP Designer is a tool suite that brings ASIP design within easy reach of every SoC team. Key capabilities include rapid exploration of architectural choices, generation of an efficient C/C++-compiler based software development kit that automatically adapts to every architectural change, and automatic generation of power and area-optimized synthesizable RTL. As Corporate Applications Engineer you will have responsibilities both in a pre-sales and in a post sales context. Pre-sales you will support the local sales team in technical matters and you will give demos to potential customers. You will also support potential customers that are evaluating ASIP Designer. You will study the application of the customer and you will develop innovative processor features for that application. In a post sales context you will assist customers in their use of ASIP Designer. You will be required to investigate and answer in-depth technical questions and suggest innovative solutions on the customer's use of ASIP Designer.
Requirements（MUST） Knowledge of processor architectures in general and of dsp architectures specifically. Experience with logic design at the RT-level, including the use of simulation and synthesis tools. Knowledge of architecture level implications on area, power, and speed. Knowledge of the C programming language, experience using SDKs. Strong problem solving skills. Ability and desire to learn a new tool and design methodology. Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
Helpful qualifications: Previous customer facing experience desirable. Knowledge of C++, Tcl/TK and SystemC languages. Knowledge of FPGA emulation.
