SSD Product Engineering Job

As an SSD Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for preparing new solid state drives for production launch and ramp into high volume manufacturing.
This will involve product characterization, developing and refining testing requirements, yield improvement, failure analysis, customer support, and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities will include the following activities:

Characterizing and/or analyzing characterization results

·
Product testing to ensure compliance to datasheet and internal design targets

·
Data analysis to improve manufacturing yields and customer quality

·
Failure analysis to determine root cause and corrective action

·
Perform correlations of firmware revisions, test revisions, and equipment platforms

·
Provide customer support by communicating technical details in a variety of formats

Successful candidates for this position will have:

·
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

·
Strong programming skills with languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl, and Java

·
Strong knowledge of embedded controllers/systems

·
Knowledge of NAND Flash technology and operation

·
Basic knowledge of various memory types (DRAM, SRAM, NOR)

·
An understanding of system debug

·
Knowledge of communication protocols a plus (SATA, SAS, PCIe, UART, USB)

·
Firmware development experience

·
Experience using protocol and logic analyzers; experience with ARM debuggers is a plus

·
The ability to work independently and in a team environment

·
Strong interpersonal, technical writing, and communication skills

·
Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, JEDEC, AEC)

·
Must be willing to work nights and weekends if necessary

·
Self-motivation and enthusiasm

Education:

·
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
