Senior MCU Applications Engineer

Key responsibilities/duties:
1. Customer application support, development of and understanding of customer applications in embedded programming languages (C- and ASSEMBLY, primarily)
2. Hardware design of MCU (ARM & AVR) application solution.
3. Provide hardware related design service. Develop demo, prototype as requested by internal & external customers.
4. Provide technical training for internal and external customer.
5. Generate application notes in both English and Chinese Language.
6. Review technical documents.
7. Provide the technical interface to customers and sales force during prospecting, evaluation, design-in and post-sales phases.
8. Assist Product Engineering in the analysis of field returns (FA and RMA).
Position reports to:
Directly, reports to the local MCU Application Manager, Shanghai
Titles of position that report to this position:
None
Key relationships / interfaces:
Internal – Local Team, Asian Sales Force, Factory Team in Norway
External – Customers
Required skills
1. Firm hardware design knowledge in both analog & digital field. Experience with MCU is a benefit.
2. Firm PCB layout knowledge. Familiar with PCB design tools (Altium design)
3. Basic embedded C-programming knowledge is a must. Experience of MCU is a benefit.
4. EMC knowledge and experience.
5. Must have excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
Language skills:
o English fluent - conversation, reading and writing.
Relevant Experience:
5+ years’ experience in hardware design of application development based on MCU
Experience with customer interaction is a benefit.
Qualifications
• Bachelor- / Masters-degree in Electrical Engineering, Cybernetic, and Informatics are an absolute requirement.
