AudioApplication Engineer

PL Mobile Audio is developing smart audioamplifiers for mobile applications. For the customer support team in China (Shanghaior Shenzhen area) we are looking for an application engineer.

Job Description:

You will create audio demonstrators topromote our solutions to customers.

You will actively engage as an audiohardware expert with our customers during the design-in phase.

You will support integration of the smartspeaker amplifier for mobile devices like smart phones and tablets with thefocus on the audio and acoustic aspects.

You will perform speaker characterizationand propose algorithm tuning to satisfy the acoustic requirements of thecustomer.

You will perform objective audiomeasurements (electrically and acoustically) according to industry standardsand subjective (listening tests) experiments.

You will analyze issues in hardware andcome up with solutions by theoretical explanation supported by experimentaldate and measurements to prove the solution.

Expectations:

You hold a Bachelor’s degree or Master’sdegree in Electronics, Physics, Digital Signal Processing or computer science;

You have strong knowledge about schematicand layout design for mobile devices and you are experienced in selectingproper application components.

You have a good understanding of thedigital control and audio interfaces like I2S, TDM, PDM, I2C, SPI, Slimbus etc.

You have hands-on experience of digitalaudio signal processing (equalization, filtering, noise and echo cancelation).

You have relevant knowledge about audioarchitecture in mobile device involving application processor, audio codec andamplifiers for earpiece, handsfree or headphone.

You have a customer oriented attitude. Youare willing to listen and open to new ideas. You are creative, pro-active andquality-oriented.

You have good communication skills. You areable to interact smoothly and appropriately with customer and sales and accountteam. You are fluent in English.

You can work in team as well asautonomously.

You like to travel frequently to provideonsite support.
