Job Function         
Design and develop API's in the form of an SDK for customers
Perform emulation and silicon testing for SOC and Ethernet switch chips
Assess and scope customer feature requests to determine engineering project plan
Support software releases during test and release cycles
Write technical documents for driver
Provide technical support and training to AE
Skills/Experience         
3 to18+ years of applicable work experience
Deep understanding of Ethernet and switching/routing
Experience with Ethernet driver development
Knowledge of multi-threading and synchronization in a driver environment
Strong understanding of OS kernel internals especially Linux/Unix
Familiarity with hardware debugging
Experience with home gateway applications on embedded platforms
Knowledge of networking protocols and security concepts
Experience with full software life cycle and delivery mechanisms
     
Education Requirements              
BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
