SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading a team of ME engineering (both for SMT and Assembly) to develop & maintain efficient manufacturing process to produce products that meet the goals and objectives of workcell and/or ***'s customer requirements. Understand and master technologies specific to area of competence.  Can convey technical solutions for areas of competence both to other engineers and to business personnel.  Work with engineering team to develop final product solution for chosen architecture within time and cost constraints. Supports assembly manufacturing through the establishment and maintenance of manufacturing processes and supporting documentation.  Compiles and evaluates data and assists in resolving product quality issues between customers, suppliers, and project management
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
 Bachelors /Degree in Mechanical & or Technical discipline with at least 3 years working experience as a Project/Lead Engineer.
 Minimum 5 years previous experience in PCBA both SMT and PTH exposure. Box Built will be an added advantage.
 Strong communication and negotiation skills;
 Strong personality and can work under pressure; willingness to work overtime.
 To write up DFM report.
  Report writing skills.
  Must be able to use window's base Word, Excel, MS Project & etc.
  Good English spoken & written.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
 Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
 Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
 Periodic travel to customer, vendor and/or *** sites is required - Anticipated amount of travel to range between 15% - 30%.  
 Must be willing to travel internationally
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Lead the defining, designing, implementing and executing of design cases, suites and plans effectively and efficiently
 Assists Business Units in providing technical suggestions, especially during the quotation stage for new project. Provide bid input covering engineering support estimates, process assumptions, standard time estimates, NRE and equipment resources required. Provide Design For Manufacturing (DFM) input to projects as appropriate
 Participate in early supplier involvement (ESI) and highlight related design/ manufacturing risk to assure the manufacturability and quality of the product. Establish validation tests, procedures, and plans based upon design needs, customer requirements, supplier needs, and international standards. Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
 Provide Document Control with a complete design package consisting of schematics, BOM’s, vendor lists, and conceptual packaging and assembly drawings prior to production launch.  Use your knowledge of high volume production to reduce cycle times.
 Interface with development core teams to help define measures appropriate to assure the quality and reliability of the design .Identify, develop and monitor process metrics -  monitor yield / failure modes.
 Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions .Take responsibility for productivity improvements, Challenge, Question and Lead by example.
 Work with hardware/software design engineers to design and develop the evaluation platforms used for product validation, evaluation and reference design. Create and update process specifications, work instructions for manufacture.
 Interacts with the customers, suppliers, and other internal functional team to support trial build and trouble-shoot build related issues. Participate in customer meeting and audit, and effectively present *** processes, initiatives and strengths to current/potential customer.
 Source parts and take existing concepts / prototype designs to new and improved levels of process development.
 Interface with Customer, Global and Local management. Generate standardized product validation test reports and issues lists for communication of status both internally within *** Inc. and to external customers.
 Mentor and guide Surface Mount Technician’s and Operators. Work in a team environment; provide technical guidance and advice to less-experienced team members, to be open-minded, and to be fluent in oral and written communication.
 Interfacing with external validation resources for specialized validation.
 Interface with customers and suppliers to define acceptance criteria for new designs.
 Provide leadership in identification and mitigation of technical risks, identification of technical and integration dependencies affecting overall project plans and schedules, striving to insure successful system integration and completion of system requirements.
 Design tools and fixtures to assist process simplification/fool proof solutions. Develop process for new products and refine/improve current product processes. Define, implement and document processes tooling, fixture and equipment to manufacture products.
 Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
 Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT  
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent each day on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in this environment ranges from low to moderate.
