1. MicrocontrollersPlatform Validation Engineer

MicrocontrollersPlatform Validation Engineer

Platform Validationteam is an essential functional part of Microcontrollers Platform andApplications department, responsible for Platform validation and Qualityassurance from Kernel/ROM to OS/BSP drivers to Application/Multimedia frameworkand all Automation infrastructure development for all Microcontrollers seriesof SoC software and reference designs.  The major responsibility of thisteam includes:

·        Review program PRD and SRS, and create platform validation plan forrelevant deliveries.

·        Develop Test case and tools for relevant MQX, Linux BSP drivers,Multimedia framework, Android and Linux Applications.

·        Platform validation and present quality situation by test execution ofdifferent releases (multiple SoC, OS and HW boards).

·        Quality assurance for the Platform deliveries like software andreference design.

·        Automation infrastructure development to optimize efficiency of testexecution and platform development.

·        Key customer support like feature analysis and issue reproducing.

PrimaryResponsibilities:  

·        Review SoC specs, PRD, SRS to understand the features and whole system.

·        Create test plan, test specifications and test cases by theserequirements.

·        Design test application or tools to validate SOC BSP API drivers orMultimedia/Application framework on reference boards (Validation).

·        Design proper Automation tools and framework to optimize test efficiency(Auto).

·        Test MQX or Linux BSP drivers or Multimedia/Application framework ofreference design boards under different Linux open source environment likeAndroid, Ubuntu and Gnome Mobile etc.

·        Hands-on troubleshooting then report bug, communicate with developers.

·        Additional responsibilities for senior engineers:

1）.      Supervise junior test engineers.

2）.      Define test process and methodology to make sure the quality of platformreleases.

3）.      Lead test design and test execution cycle on certain SOC support.

Qualifications:

To ensure yoursuccessful performance in this role, the following working experience isrequired:

·        Bachelor EE/CS with 2+ years or Master EE/CS with 0+ years softwaredevelopment or software testing experience;

·        Good Experience in C/C++ or Java programming and embedded OS, e.g. Linuxor Android;
