Job Description:

Ø
Chipbringup before chip tape-out(on FPGA) and on final chip(after tape-out)

Ø
Designand implement related drivers/components that on new chip which use the new IP

Ø
Resolvetechnical issues from internal QA and external customers, with the focus onKernel and drivers

Ø
Designand implement software components for synaptics socs

Ø
DevelopReference board by Board bring up and driver enableing and debug support.

Ø
Reviewdesign specs,give feedback,estimate effort and define component requirement.

Ø
Analyzeand resolve difficult linux system issues. Profile/optimize system and driverperformance.

Ø
Writeand review documents for developed software components.

Ø
Workwith AE team for support customer board issues in a timely manner byphone/email/online and seldom onsite.

Job Requirement:

Ø
BS/MSin CS or related majors, has 3+ years experience in linux kernel development.

Ø
Skillsto resolve issues through post-mortem analysis of core dumps and kernel crashfiles

Ø
Havedeep understanding for USB, PCIe, i2c, PMIC,eMMC/SD, SMP and MMU

Ø
Havea deep Knowledge of ARM64 processors architecture

Ø
Familiarwith git/gerrit development environment

Ø
Strongpractical C experience in a cross-compilation environment

Ø
Knowledgeof Operating Systems concepts and Linux kernel internal

Excellentcommunication and documentation skill in English
