Job Purpose & Position Summary

  
  
  

Manage the test and product engineers responsible for the product  development and production ramp of new discrete graphics chips.

  
  

Work with global cross functional teams  including design, business unit, product management, supply chain, OSAT and  various engineering teams to develop test program/solution, profiling,  bounding box, correlation plan, characterization/circuit sensitivity plan,  sample generation, qualification and production to success of product launch.  This position requires strong communication, product/program management  skills and business acumen to drive/deliver critical business milestones.

   
  
  

Job Responsibilities

  
  

1.
Drive and implement product major milestones from product  development, sample generation, product qualification to production ramp

  

2.
Define and implement test development plan for new product  introduction and develop test programs during pre-silicon phase for bring up,  silicon characterization, sample generation, qualification and mock  production.

  

3.
Implement  overall  bounding box, profiling and correlation plan for new product introduction

  

4.
Product yield analysis and improvement; product test cost  analysis and reduction

  

5.
Define/design new test methodologies to meet business/customer  requirements

  

6.
Implement overall timelines for bring up, silicon  characterization, sample generation, qualification and mock production.

  

7.
Work with designers to resolve test coverage and functional  issues; with hardware architects and logic designers to solve  functional issues, and with customer  support engineers to help resolve test coverage holes

  

8.
Support customer issues, including investigation and debugging  of diagnostics scripting and source code if necessary

  

9.
Manage  engineering priorities

  

10.
Forecast  the budget and resource requirements; plan and maximize the use of available  resources.

  

11.
Production  excursion management

  

12.
Develop  and manage excellent working relationships with other internal teams

  

13.
Develop  and maintain the BOM

  

14.
Drive  continuous improvement activities  to  lower product cost; improve product quality and increase productivity

  

15.
Participate  or lead in plant wide cross-functional activities

  

16.
Train,  develop and retain technical competency.

  

17.
Other  duties as assigned by supervisor.

  
  
  

●Impact  of Decision: The  manager is responsible for product cost, yield, test coverage, sample  deliveries, product quality and reliability and meeting committed schedules  for the new product bring-up.

   
  
  

Job Qualifications

  
  

●Must  Have:

  
  

  -Education: Bachelor degree or above

   
  
  

  -Language: Excellent oral and written skills in  English and Mandarin

   
  
  

  -Experience: 8-10 years experience in NPI; product  bring up experience

   
  
  

  -Functional Competency: Product definition, semiconductor  knowledge, ATE/SLT testing methodology, yield analysis, project management.

   
  
  

  -Leadership Competency: Excellent experience in managing a  team in China team and familiarity with Chinese culture. Capable of working  with global teams in NA, Europe and Asia. Excellent people management skill  is a must.
