Senior RF design engineer
Key Responsibilities: l
Definethe RF specifications of the whole Radio systems, to design and develop the RFsection of the radio equipment
l
Proposeand evaluate innovative design solutions in the RF field
l
Carryout in cooperation with external entities (Research centers, Universities)
l
Debugthe unit and then test and integrate it in the overall Radio system
l
Design IF analog circuit interfacing BaseBand circuits, including PLL and AGC sections (using Spice tool or similar) l
Design Mixer/amplifier/PA/LNA circuit
(using Spice tool or similar) l
Design ADC/DAC/Clock circuit
(using Spice tool or similar) l
Design of simple dc Supply unit
l
Arrangement of a MW Test Bench set up andoperation knowledge of the relevant instruments settings
l
Debuggingof
a prototype unit using manual tuningand repair using soldering tools on micro SMT devices
l
Test and debug the equipment independently
l
Operation Reference contact during theproduct life cycle (management of Product Change notice and End of Lifecomponents).
Requirements: l
well consolidated experience in the designof microwave modules for Radio links systems
l
Strong competence on FDD / TDD RF Architectures l
Knowledge of a TDM / IP Radio System l
Experienced competence about multi-layerPCB Technology and relevant substrate material
l
Signal Integrity l
EMC & Safety design l
Reliability Analysis l
Knowledge of the main MMIC technologyimplementations and relevant advantages and drawbacks l
Strong competence Review capability
of the System requirement and of ETSI / ANSIStandards documents l
Implementation of the design parameteranalysis using Excel spread-sheets (or similar) l
Knowledge of the main MW CAD design tools
l
MW circuit design implementation using 2DCAD Simulators (ADS, AWR or similar) l
MW circuit fine tuning synthesis using 3DCAD Simulators (HFSS, CST or similar) l
Basic knowledge of microcontroller digitalcircuits l
Mechanical and thermal analysis
capability
in order to support the mechanical designer l
Basic knowledge of Ematrix PDM (orsimilar) and Mentor Graphic Tool (or similar) in order to support the lay-outdesigner to create manufacturing documentation (BOM, Schematics, Lay-out,creation of the PDM Tree Coding structure) l
Knowledge of main System Test set up inorder to assist Integration & Verification engineers during productvalidation l
Capability to analyze System test resultsin order to provide, when proven and necessary,
fixing or improvement actions to the unit of own design l
Supervision of the pre-production series l
English speaking and writing withgood presentation and communication skills
l
Master of Science (ElectricalEngineering/Telecommunication) l
More than 5 years related workingexperience in the design of microwave modules for Radio links systems

MRW-RF technician
Key Responsibilities: l
Import of the CAD files into the Mentor Graphictool l
Creation of
all the
manufacturing documentation (BOM, Schematics, lay-out, tree structureunit coding) using the Mentor Graphic tool inside
the company standard PDM Data Base l
Arrangement of a MW Test Bench set up andoperation knowledge of the relevant instruments settings l
Debugging of a prototype unit using manualtuning and repair using soldering tools on micro SMT devices l
Assist the Design Leader Engineer duringthe System Integration Test and apply in real time (when necessary) wiredcircuit modifications during the System debugging activity l
Assist and support the pre-productionseries activity.
l
Support project leader during the study ofinnovative solutions as a proactive partner
l
Patent reports and technical papers to bepresented / published in the most important MW conference / proceedings arestrongly supported by the company
l
Support to the line manager for themanagement of the laboratory: in particular of instruments inventory andcalibrations
Requirements: l
Basic knowledge of Radio RF Architectures l

Basic knowledge of multi-layer PCBmanufacturing l
Understanding of the design analysisperformed by the Design Team Leader (Excel or similar spread-sheet analysis) l
Fine adjustment of the design circuitusing 2D CAD design tool (ADS, AWR or similar) l
Basic design competence of analog IFcircuits, simple dc supply units and digital microcontroller l
EMC & Safety Design l
Signal Integrity
l
