本人初学IC设计，刚安装了IC610 ，网上遇到好多人说PDK的时，傻傻的问一下，这玩意到底是干什么的，不安装不能用吗

A process design kit (PDK) is a set of files used within the semiconductor industry to model transistors for a certain technology for a certain foundry.

Typical PDK contains:
standard cells library
design rules (DRC rules)
SPICE model of transistors
layout information (in GDSII)

In a word, if you want your design to be fabricated You MUST have a specific PDK installed into Cadence, such as TSMC, National Semiconductor, SMIC and so on.
