* Number of chapters has been increased from 12 to 13, with more emphasis on noise, nonlinear effects, and active circuit design.
* New material includes the following topics: capacitively coupled resonator filters, RF MEMS, transistor power amplifiers, transistor oscillators, frequency multipliers, oscillator phase noise, and FET mixers.
* Material on the following topics has been substantially revised: noise and noise effects, intermodulation distortion, dynamic range, mixers, amplifier stability, antennas and antenna noise, wireless receivers, and characteristics of diodes and transistors.
* Numerous new or revised examples and problems have been added, with several of these related to practical design problems involving planar circuits and components.
* A list of Answers to Selected Problems is foundÂ at the end of the book.
