ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
§
The primary function is to design/evaluate algorithm for iMotion digital IC products and its application.
§
Build/evaluate function block for
imotion platform.
§
Build testing platform for motion control.
§
Debug and test of motion control systems
§
To establish testing program for algorithm verification and hardware verification including digital IC and reference board.
§
Work closely with iMotion design team to provide necessary support to team member and keep goals aligned.
§
Listen and distill carefully to the customers/team needs so as to define and build algorithm to meet the needs.
§
Provide professional design documentation. Such as testing report and include other assigned documentation.
§
Capable to estimate the time usage for each task and project.
Knowledge and Skill required
Hands-on experience of all, or some, of the following:
·
Capable to use the software design tools such as verilog for FPGA/ASIC, C language, Assembly and Matlab/Simulink.
·
Motor current measurement techniques, modulation schemes and data acquisition.
·
Controller system architectures.
·
Real-time control theory and time scheduling.
·
System level understanding of power converter topologies used in AC motor drives.
·
Knowledgeable in power electronics.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
·
Master is preferred in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor are welcomed.
·
5+ years of experience
·
Good Communication skills
·
Good in Chinese and English.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The primary function is to support senior engineer to test IPM series for all application area.
§
Create testing report including data collection, waveform capture, curve generation.
§
IPM reference board design and evaluation, reference board specification definition.
§
Along with senior engineer to support local FAEs and sales to follow up with customers and solve technical issues to win design ins.
§
Assist to compare/evaluate competitive products and perform SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analyses.
Requirements:

BSEE
·
Minimum of 3 years of relevant design/build/test experience in power electronics.
·
Experience with IPM, IGBT testing and evaluation.
·
Experience with design techniques, test methodologies and qualification protocols
·
Experience in testing HVICs, FETs and diodes.
·
Experience with thermal models and able to test with appropriate methods.
·
Experience with choosing the right passive and active components.
·
Familiarity with MS Office, experience in Mathcad and PCB layout software a plus.
·
Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
§
The primary function is to design-in/win iMotion products at customers(including Intelligent Power Module, IGBT, HVIC as well as digital IC).
§
Listen carefully to the customers needs, and respond with the solution that best fits.
§
Work closely with the ESP BU and Product Management keep goals aligned.
§
Drive revenue growth at target accounts by meeting or exceeding design-in goals.
§
Establish and maintain good working relationships with the engineers and decision-makers at
customers.
§
Steer the customer to the solution while maintaining honesty and integrity – it is critically important that the customer trust your recommendations and advice.
§
Distill customer feedback into specific recommendations for new features or products, and report this information to the appropriate product development team.
§
Maintain accurate notes on all customer meetings, action items, competition and trends, and report these as required in the monthly activity report.
§
Maintain your product knowledge at the most current level by communicating frequently with the product groups, attending all new product training prior to launch, and understand product roadmaps and future plans.
§
Learn our competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and use this information to help make the case for an
solution.
§
Work closely with FAEs, sales and marketing groups to define and execute strategies for winning designs at targeted customers.
§
Clarify between sales, rep., and FAE who is responsible for which action items following each customer visit – ensure complete and prompt response to customer.
§
Provide recommendations to the Technical Marketing and MarCom groups to help them improve their materials, website information, and datasheets based on feedback from the customer.
§
Provide recommendations to the design centers on application note needs, errors, and updates.
§
Perform appropriate Application work to help customer designs, to evaluate new products, and write application notes and other technical documents to aid the design in efforts.
§
Assist personnel at various industry trade-shows – meeting with attendees, answering technical questions, and collecting leads for new business.
§
Present occasional training seminars for other FAEs, sales, distributors and customers.
Obtain and organize training information from the product groups into appropriate form.
§
Continuous the study on personal skills provided by
or other resources.
§
Be able to diplomatically handle a difficult customer while always maintaining a professional demeanor.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Hands-on experience of all, or some, of the following:

Master is preferred in Power Electrical Enigneering, Bachelor are welcomed.
·
Minimum of 5 years field application experience
·
Knowledgeable in power electronics. Knowing how to design power device for inverter etc different topology. How to choice the device such as IPM, IGBT, MOSFET and HVIC, how to drive these device, how to layout the trace, how to consider thermomechanical system. How to manage faults such as OV, OC, OT etc. How to minimize EMI/EMC. How to evaluate the reliability of system.
·
Knowing motor control. Such as field oriented control, vector control, modulation, PI regulator, current loop control, speed loop control
·
Familiar the softare design tools such as Matlab/Simulink, C language, assembly language.
·
Knowing IEC/UL/3C regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
·
Good Communication skills and capability to gain respect and trust with the customer.
·
Good in Chinese and English.
