    Hi there,

Does it work in rhel5 OS? It seems does not work for me, and it complain "waiting for available license for Virtuoso Spectre"... and on and on...

Hi,

Have you copied the license file to the ".../share/license" folder firstly and then run the patch?
Your problem seems like the Virtuoso can't find the license file for MMSIM, so that it's always waiting for it.
If you have strictly followed the steps recommended by me and it still doesn't work, check your environment variable configuration.

As for the platform, the only one I can assure is Ubuntu 12.04, I've never tried this method on a REHL computer, sorry for that.

The problem is I only patch the 64-bit version, but the IC only select 32-bit once, then it fails. Thanks anyway.

Do you know how to switch MMSIM to 64-bit instead of 32-bit?

Sorry man, you question is beyond my ability and I don't know how to solve it.

Maybe it's the issue of version, try to find a 64-bit version for MMSIM from the Internet and download it, that's the best way I can do.

I cracked the file using your patch but still I am getting this error:

ERROR (ADE-3036): Errors encountered during simulation. The simulator run log has not been generated.

        Possible cause could be an invalid command line option for the version of the simulator

        you are running. Choose Setup->Environment and verify that the command line options

        specified in the userCmdLineOption field are supported for the simulator.

        Alternatively, run the simulator standalone using the runSimulation file in the netlist

        directory to know the exact cause of the error.

By the way, I installed Cadence custom IC 6.15 and MMSIM 12 using iscape in ubuntu 12.04 32 bit OS.

It seems the problem that you've encountered has something to do with the version of the simulator, which is not so closely related to the patch itself I think. Please just follow the instruction provided by the error message, modify the "userCmdLineOption" command line or run the simulator independently.

By the way, may I know which kind of simulation you are trying to run?

确实可以，刚开始我的计算机是64位的，所以为只用了64位的补丁，但运行的时候却一直运行32位的，导致license一直无效，当我再打好32位补丁的时候就OK了，感谢楼主分享license
