LED Field Applications Engineer (Shunde)

Location: Guangzhou, CHINA

Job Description:
This position reports to the Business Development Manager. The FAE will reside in Shunde, China with responsibility to

·
Creating innovative state of the art LED Lighting driver circuit designs to maximize efficiency and reliability.

·
Provide high voltage LED driver design support to customers that includes: paper / theoretical designs, building full customized power supplies and winding high voltage transformers

·
Provide PI direct technical support to Key LED Lighting customers defined by Field sales.

·
Update customers with latest products information and support them with LED driver demo boards along with engineering reports.

·
Support customer projects in close co-operation with other Engineering LED Lighting team WW

·
Ability to work in a dynamic WW multi-ethnical organization

·
Conduct periodical training to distributor FAE team and workshops / seminars ( In-house & Public ) for key LED Lighting customers

Requirements –

·
Should possess strong fundamentals knowledge of LED Lighting mainly drivers and its various topologies

·
Should have strong fundamental knowledge in meeting LED driver standards (PF / THD / Surge etc ) and implementation

·
Strong Knowledge and experience in AC/DC SMPS design, testing and analysis.

·
Should possess knowledge in designing magnetic components including transformers, Common Mode chokes / Inductors etc.

·
Able to debug, designs and recommend changes.  

·
Strong knowledge on design / simulation tools

·
To work closely with WW LED Application and our prototype teams in the build of cutting edge solution, components and systems.

·
Able to build good working relationships with colleagues and with customers

·
Contributes effectively to Sales strategies.

·
Strong communication skill, both verbal and in writing.

Locate in or nearby Guangzhou, China.
Ability to obtain Chinese travel passport and valid entry visa to the U.S.A.

Extensive travel throughout South China including 1-2 annual FAE meetings.

Experience -

Minimum of 4-6 Years of experience in Design and Development of SMPS from LED Lighting Industry

Should have strong working knowledge in production & process flow for pilot and proto build.

Education -

BSEE/MSEE with a minimum of three years of switch mode power supply design experience

Field Sales Engineer
(Xiamen)

Location: Xiamen, CHINA

Job Description: The Field Sales Engineer will support the Segment Sales Manager of LED China in managing key accounts and sales channel partners in South China.

Responsibilities:

Understanding basic power supply specifications and technologies with emphasis on solution cost and familiarity with power electronics components and costs.
Excellent interpersonal skill, good written and oral communication skills to convey the PI message.
Work effectively with customers and sales channel partners.
Interact and guide the FAE team to successfully achieve design-in wins.
Build and maintain customer profiles/databases.
Write detailed reports from sales territories.
Review point of sales and inventory reports.
Monitor competitor products.
Perform business analyses and sales strategies.

Requirements:

BSEE or similar engineering discipline.

Minimum of three to five year of sales experience in power electronics.

Must have a high degree of communication and interpersonal skills.

Position requires extensive travel.
Languages: Moderate English (reading, writing, and speaking), Cantonese preferred

Job Description:

1.
The Application Manager is needed to lead and managed a group of 3-4 Application Engineers and provided a weekly update of progress to the management team.

2.
He will need to support OEM/ODM manufacturers for design support and lead AE to resolve raised technical issued.

3.
The candidate need to excises good technical practice and able to perform first line technical support into circuit and component level.

4.
Reporting to Application Director and required to travel to US for 1-2 time per year when is needed.

REQUIREMENTS

1)
BSEE/MSEE with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of switch mode power supply design experiences in an MNC company environment.

2)
Knowledge in SMPS with tracked design records from Dual/Single FET forward, Flyback, SR, PFC are needed. Knowledge in LLC will be an added advantage.

3)
Strong analytical skills and hands-on design experience, able to demonstrate a field of expertise, published technical papers and others.

4)
Manage design team resource, prioritized work & set achievable schedule for team members and report the progress to management.

5)
Knowledge of component, magnetic, safety, EMS is a merit.
