The successful candidate will be a part of a digital hardware sustaining team responsible for design and sustaining of Nortel Networks CDMA BTS/BSC portfolio, You will work and interact with senior engineers and other organizations and customers including NPI Design, manufacturing, PLM, TAS, Vendors, Customer Account Primes and the direct customer including the support and resolution of customer and product issues and the development of new products to support the current portfolio.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
o more than 3+ years development experience (design, implementation, and test) of digital hardware for products within a wireless of high speed product line
o Experience in Manufacturing and customer support
o Produce, review and approve design documentation
o Be able to interact with a large, sometimes remote, multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high quality design and seamless integration
o Have strong communications, interpersonal, and analytic skills
o Prepared to travel
o Fluent in English
Skills and Performance Dimensions / Education::
o B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
o High speed digital design knowledge with about 3+ years experience
o Knowledge of EMC theory, containment strategies and techniques
o Experience with Cadence Concept and Allegro tools
o Experience with PCP level simulation tools (Spice, SpectraQuest etc.)
o Extensive experience in the use of lab equipment such as scopes, logic analyzers, pattern generators, oscilloscope, etc.
o Experience with Unix and Windows 95/NT operating systems
o Experience with programmable logic design and tools would be a definite asset
o Knowledge of CDMA/UMTS theory & operating principles would be a definite asset
o Assembly and C/C++ knowledge would be an asset.
