You must update Quartus II software version 9.1 to service pack 2 to use the Nios II Embedded Design Suite version 9.1 service pack 2.

Use Quartus_II_9.1_SP2_x86.exe to crack files sys_cpt.dll and quartus.exe under C:\altera\91\quartus\bin folder.

Replace the XXXXXXXXXXXX in the license.dat with your own MAC address (the MAC address could be found at Quartus II 9.1 main screen->Tools->License Setup, the NIC ID is your MAC)

Navigate to  Quartus II 9.1 main screen->Tools->License Setup, and then select the license.dat, don't forget to click OK when you finish the setting.

Note: the license.dat should be stored in the path which contains no space and no non-English characters.
        This path had been verified under Windows XP and Windows 7 both 32bit and 64 bit version.
        Study purpose only.
