OVERALL SKILLS:
Project management skills. Understanding of the business environment. Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup. Ability to work in a team environment. communicate and present well to cross functional teams. Ability to influence others to achieve results.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
·         The candidate must have proficiency in thermal CFD software, proficiency with laboratory equipment: air chambers, data recorders, and other system-level measurement systems.
·         Detailed knowledge of heat sink designs including heat pipe technologies.
·         A strong background in storage sub-systems components such as disk drives and experience with high availability designs.
EXPERIENCE:
·         6 to 10 years minimum, with broad experience in high availability, high reliability mechanical enclosures and system design.  
·         Understanding of the various topologies and thermal design solutions common to the technology, and a proven ability to apply them correctly during a development cycle.  
·         Requires a strong understanding and familiarity of computer system hardware and architecture as it pertains to thermal and mechanical design.  
·         Firm working knowledge in areas such as mechanical design, power design, and component characteristics, as they relate to thermal design.  
·         Must have a good understanding of the Contract Manufacturing (CM) and OEM/JDM industry as a whole, in order to make accurate and optimum make-vs.-buy decisions in commoditized product areas.

EDUCATION:

BSME with a concentration in Thermo fluids minimum, MSME degree desirable but not required.
