Job Title: Component Engineering Manager (Senior Manager)
Report To: CTO

The strategic ambition of the company is to set the pace in the lighting industry as the first-choice innovative partner for the supply of creative and cost-effective lighting solutions.
As 1 of the 4 Global R&D Centers of the multinational, our client is now expanding its operation in Shanghai.
Job Description & Requirements:
Main responsibilities:
Management of the total Component Engineering Group in GDC. The group encompasses a component test team, BG and BU LEAP component engineers, and a mechanical design team.
Drive CE competence improvement to match the demands, including training, coaching for the people, maintaining equipment, information, relationship etc. available; Appraise subordinates in the group
Register and report on PPM and field returns, support the analysis, containment and improvement activities (through 8D teams for failures). Support the DfSS program with supplier/component statistical data for development.
Support the development ICP with component and supplier choices and perform a QA check on the various MS’s during the development process on compliance adherence to the component and supplier policy.
Together with SBM and Global Component Engineering, participate in selecting and evaluation c.q. Assessments and ECN’s, of potential component suppliers in the APR and report on adherence during production.
As member of the GDC staff, co-accountable for the continuous drive to improve the overall competence, e.g. support the improvement on Component Qualification and Supplier assessment procedures
Requirement:
Bachelor degree and above, major in electronic related
More than 10 years related experience in electronic product designing, component testing, 5 years management experience is a must and experience in lab management.
Fluent in oral and written English Skills, Self-driven and motivation
