Title:Memorycircuit design Manager


Directs and guides the activities of a research or technicaldesign function responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluatingdigital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronicequipment and other hardware systems. Evaluates final resultsof research anddevelopment projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives. Preparesand presents reports outlining the outcome of technical projects and makesrecommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results. Selects,develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Requires strong hands-on IC design experience and knowledge of all facets ofthe IC design process and a good understanding of hdl (verilog/VHDL) designlanguages.

Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects. Experienced in EngineeringManagement, Hiring, Team building and providing leadership to inspire high teamperformance. Experience with international business and management.


At this level, post-graduate coursework may be desirable. Customarily managesthe coordination of the activities of a department, with responsibility forpriority-setting and results, including costs, methods and staffing whilemanaging cross-functional communication. Regularly receives assignments in theform of objectives and uses discretion and independent judgment to determinehow to effectively and efficiently use resources to meet schedules and goals.Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established companypolicies. Develops policies and procedures that affect immediateorganization(s). May advise senior management on specialized technical orbusiness issues. Follows processes and operational policies in selectingmethods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Frequently interacts withsenior internal personnel, functional peer group managers, and major customers,normally involving controversial matters between functional areas, otherbusiness units, or customers and the company. Leads a cooperative effort amonginternal and external project teams.
