As part of the GPE Systems Engineering team, the PPO Lead will be responsible
for leading the PPO team to provide the GPU power/performance data and analysis,
optimize idle power, performance/watt and power/performance model, and delivery the final production best performance/watt parameters.PPO lead will be working closely with asic power design team in the pre-silicon
and post-silicon phases. In the pre-silicon phase, you will be working with design team to define and predict the next generation GPU power, performance
based on model, and prepare the plan for post silicon optimization.
In the post-silicon phase, you will lead PPO team to collect power and
performance data on the real silicon, analyze the data, bringup the new power/performance features,
lead the optimize power/performance through FW/driver, and provide solid
advice to program team for final product definition. The right candidate
will be required to work closely with silicon design engineers as well as
participate in and/or lead interdisciplinary teams (hardware, software, program management,
customer engineering, and operations, marketing and sales). Responsibilities:- PPO lead is key technical lead in the program team to lead all power/performance optimization work- Define and predict next generation GPU power/performance based on design model- Collect and analyze silicon power & performance data and compare with pre-silicon prediction- Provide solid data and advice to program team for final production definition- Lead key power/performance features enablementRequirements:- B.S. or M.S. In EE or CS or equivalent is required- Fluent verbal English required- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience on ASIC power/performance optimization- Basic knowledge on the ASIC power model creation- Test setup automation experience is a plus- Strong team work experience with difference functional teams- Strong communication skills - Strong leadership for technical or program driving - Familiar with any of HW design, driver develop or ASIC design
