Senior Operating System Design Engineer / Technical Leader
Department: CPU R&D
Business Unit Introduction:
CPU R&D group in Shanghai is chartered to develop and deliver world-class high frequency and low power CPUs which are compatible to ARM v7/8 ISA, joint-design with Operating System for mobile and server. The group also delivers high quality and complete development tools, modeling and optimization solutions for Marvell CPUs in Marvell application processors, communication processor, video processors, storage processors, printer processors and etc. With company’s business and R&D expansion in China, we are looking for talented engineers who would like to join us to experience the opportunities from Marvell’s rapid growth. Job Description: The work includes leading a team for Operating System analysis, design and optimization; joint-design with Marvell CPUs which are compatible to ARM v7/8 ISA:
 Analysis cutting-edge Operating Systems for its architecture and hotspot of performance and low power.
 Co-design with multi-core CPU modeling for better performance and low-power.
 Influence the design choice of current OSs.
 Design of detection system for CPU error.
 Bring-up of Operating System on new CPU.
Qualification:
 BS/MS/PhD in electronic engineering/computer science (or equivalent).
 Strong Operating System knowledge.
 Strong CPU architecture/micro-architecture knowledge.
 Strong programming skills, and/or strong board design skills.
 Working experience in any relevant projects described above for 3+ years.
 Cooperative team player with good communication and teamwork skill. Leadership experience is preferred.
 Fluent communication in both Chinese and English is an advantage.
CPU Logic Design Engineer Department: CPU R&D
Job Description:
Candidate will be part of the design team for the next-generation Marvell application processor targeted for the handheld market. This position is responsible for the CPU micro-architecture, logic design and implementation, synthesis, FPGA prototyping/debugging, and co-working with verification and back-end engineer. High speed logic design skills and low power design skills are preferred.
Qualifications:
- MS/PhD degree in CE/EE with 2+ years working experience - Strong Knowledge of computer architecture and micro-architecture; - Solid logic design skills with Verilog HDL, with on-hands experience in high speed design; - Solid knowledge of synthesis and timing analysis; - Knowledge and experience of low-power design is a big plus; - Experience in Multi-processor or multi-threading design is a plus; - Experience in FPGA debugging with LA is a plus; - Experience in Floating-point unit design is a plus; - Good team work experience - Good English communication skills
CPU Logic Verification Engineer
Department: CPU R&D
Job Description:
Candidate will be part of the design team for the next-generation Marvell application processor targeted for the handheld market. This position is responsible for the CPU micro-architecture review, logic verification, and co-working with logic design and synthesis/timing analysis. Verification experience in high speed and low power design skills are preferred.
Qualifications:
- MS/PhD degree in CS/CE/EE with 2+ years working experience. - Strong Knowledge of computer architecture - Strong Knowledge in CPU verification, debug and testing methodologies. - Experiences of building test environments, test benches, assertions and coverage analysis are preferred. - Good programming and scripting skills, such as Verilog, System Verilog, ARM assembler, Perl, Shell scripts. - Knowledge of synthesis and timing analysis - Good team work experience - Good English communication skills
Design Engineer for Marvell Compiler and Virtual Machine Solutions
Department: CPU R&D
Job Description:
We are looking for the talented software engineer for static/dynamic compiler and virtual machine solutions on Marvell processors (ARM architecture).
 Work includes analyze designing and developing the compiler tool chain, just-in-time compiler, and Java-like virtual machine solutions, and their optimization solutions for Marvell processors.
 Responsibility includes architecture analysis, implementation design, coding/bug-fixing/unit-test and co-work with software validation engineer to achieve production quality.
 The candidate will also contribute to build models of compilers and VMs, to joint-design cutting-edge Marvell mobile CPU together with CPU design engineers.
Qualification:
 MS in computer sciences with more than 3 years software design and development experience is a MUST.
 Strong programming skill in C/C++ is a MUST.
 Knowledge and working experience on compiler/ assembler/linker/library, with essential knowledge of ARM architecture, profiling and optimization is a great advantage.
 Knowledge and working experience on Java/JavaScript Virtual Machine, especially on Android Dalvik VM, is a great advantage.
 Knowledge and working experience in OS as Linux and Android on ARM architecture is a plus.
 Practical experience of full software product life cycle from definition through software development, design, implementation, quality assurance, and release is optional.
 Rich experience in team working is a plus
Fluent communication in both Mandarin and English is a plus. |
